What Durra stores

Your revision deck and progress are kept on your device. Durra is local-first: you can use it without an account, and nothing leaves your phone for syncing until you sign in.

If you create an account

Signing in lets Durra back up and sync your revision deck across devices. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so the app never asks for a password. We store your email address, your name if you give one, and, for each ayah in your deck, the surah, the ayah, its text, and its review schedule.

Family hub

If you create or join a family, we store the family name, its invite code, who belongs to it, and the names you give to members. Everyone in a family can see the practice progress of the children in it. Deleting your account removes your family links, and any family you created is removed along with its members.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. This permanently removes your account, your synced deck, your family links, and any family you created from our servers.

How account deletion works

Your recitation

Durra does not record, upload or transcribe your recitation. After each review you rate your own recall, and Durra uses that to set when the ayah comes back.

No ads, no tracking for sale

Durra contains no advertising and is not a social network. We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand crashes and improve the app.

Quran text

The Quran text in Durra comes from the verified Tanzil Uthmani source and is checked against that source on every release, never retyped by hand.

Children

Durra is intended for adults. For children, see Durra Kids, which is built specifically for young learners with parent-facing protections.
